a bit about me:
Dr. Rosalia Zarate has over 8 years of experience as a data analyst and a quantitative and qualitative researcher. Currently, she is a Research Scientist in People Analytics at Meta/Facebook where she is able to combine her research and data science skills. Prior to her time at Meta, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Teachers College, Columbia University where she was also working as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. She designed and taught a Data Analysis and Data Ethics course for Master's and Doctoral students. While at Stanford, she led large-scale quantitative educational studies at Stanford’s Graduate School of Education, leveraging big-data analytical tools, creating statistical models, and integrating national and institutional data sets.
Previously, she was also a Teaching Assistant for Stanford Doctoral Students in the "Intro to Statistical Methods In Education" course as well as a research assistant for Stanford's Gardner Center of Public Service. She also served as a research consultant for a large California Community College assessing factors that impact student enrollment and success.
